As I have mentioned in the past Mr. Ingelmo’s family is from Cuba and he comes from a line of shoemakers starting with his great-grandfather who was a cobbler in Salamanca, Spain. Alejandro visited Cuba for the first time and created a photo diary during his stay. The trip influenced Ingelmo’s choice of colors and silhouettes for the collection. Each shoe in this collection is named after women Mr. Ingelmo met in Cuba and each style can be purchased exclusively from Refinery29 a month before they will be sold everywhere else.
