From May 4 until July 31,2011 the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute will showcase Alexander McQueen’s iconic fashion collections. The collection will be located on the museum’s second-floor Cantor Galleries and will feature 100 ensembles and 70 accessories from his 19-year career. Pieces for the exhibition will come from the Alexander McQueen archive in London, Givenchy archive in Paris and from private collections. Lee’s signature designs such as the bumster trouser, kimono jacket and the three-point origami frock coat will also be on view.
