F.I.T Great Designer Exhibit, Part One

The Museum of FIT is presenting The Great Designers, Part One, the first of two consecutive exhibitions featuring masterpieces from the museum’s permanent collection of more than 50,000 garments and accessories. This exhibition will feature approximately 50 garments from designers such as Alaia, Balenciaga, Chanel,Dior and Vivienne Westwood. Also, on display for the first time will be pieces by Valentino, Thierry Mugler and Givenchy by Alexander McQueen. These pieces will be on display from November 29,2011 to May 8, 2012 and will coincide with the release of the Museum of FIT’s book, The Great Designers: Fashion’s Hall of Fame from A to Z in the Spring.
