Mr. Soldi graduated from Polimoda in 2000 and immediately began to work as a shoe designer for Dolce & Gabbana. Gianluca stayed with the company for six years and then became the head shoe designer for Versace. Soldi also designed an eponymous collection for Te Casan from 2006 to 2010. After his time at Te Casan ended he focused on freelance work and formed Chat Noir Studio S.L with fellow shoe designer David Wyatt. This partnership resulted in collaborations with Kenzo, Zuhair Murad, Moncler and O Jour by Giorgia Caovilla.
Gianluca is proud of the fact that his collection is made in Italy and each piece in the collection was designed to garner favorable attention. Soldi used scalloped silhouettes matched with thick laces to bring something different to the marketplace. Styles from the 2013 Fall collection are below.
