Joanne’s Spring collection, 1941 was mostly inspired by the marine artwork of Norman Wilkinson. Wilkinson’s artwork used contrasting colors on the warships that he worked on in order to mislead any attackers. This art technique was also used by the Cubists as well.
This clash of colors and materials can be found throughout the collection in addition to Stoker’s lovely trademark perspex heels.
