Marco Proietti grew up in Tivoli, Italy and during his childhood became interested in the clothes worn by the female members of his family. This interest did not waver and when Marco was thirteen years old he decided to embark on a career in fashion. Proietti graduated from the Academy of Costume and Fashion in Rome and after graduation began to work with the Ittierre group. At Versus Marco Proietti became exposed to the fashion world even more via his assignments and the people that he came in contact with.
The statement My shoes are not shoes. They are women sums up Mr. Proietti’s views about his designs. Marco does not feel his items are just inanimate objects to be thrown around but are to be appreciated and adorned just like the women he designs for. Women are not the only source of inspiration for Marco who is also inspired by cinema, music and other creative arts.
Sophisticates looking for unique shoes made with artisan techniques that are comfortable to wear cannot go wrong with a pair of shoes from Marco Proietti.
