Mr. Hare Spring’11

Founder Marc Hare.

South Londoner Mr. Hare launched his first collection, Purest Form for the 2009 Fall season after being inspired a year earlier during a trip to Spain. During this trip Marc seen a pair of shoes that a gentleman was wearing and decided that he could make a much better shoe himself. Before starting his shoe label Hare worked for Lynne Franks PR in the 80s and opened a surf shop in London called Low Pressure in 1992. In addition to these ventures Marc also was a design consultant for Karrimorr and marketing consultant for Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Dr. Martens etc. You can find Mr. Hare shoes at respected stores such as Dover Street Market, Browns, Selfridges, Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Colette.

The name of the 2011 Spring Collection is called A’int No App For That and is so named because the shoes that Marc creates cannot be appreciated by sight alone but must be felt. Shoes made out of Soft Nappa Leather, Shrunken Goat, Eel, Salmon and Ostrich are used to communicate this point. Thank you Mr. Hare for creating a collection that offers a fashion-forward alternative for Men and thanks Ms. Corrigan for the hi-resolution pictures.
