Jimmy Choo collaborated with visual artist Rob Pruitt to release a capsule using iconic Choo silhouettes and dynamic Pruitt drawings. Mr. Pruitt emerged on the N.Y art scene during the 80s and his latest work is the Andy Warhol statue in Union Square West, NYC. Each work of art by Pruitt is playful and profound.
For the collaboration Pruitt, Jimmy Choo Creative Directors Sandra Choi and Simon Holloway wanted to create a collection that would attract people like bees to honey. Pandas were featured throughout and were used by Pruitt because according to him they remind us to tread lightly and to appreciate the adorable. Another theme, duality was also represented by the angel and devil panda designs which they felt represents the good girl/bad girl nature of the Jimmy Choo woman.
